Steve and Tara Young are incredibly kind and generous people. One area that they are extremely passionate about is investing in continued education for our Sanford employees. Because of this passion and dedication, they decided to start a new spendable fund.
Purpose: This scholarship provides continued education and professional development opportunities for employees working in fields related to Sanford Sports through offering full tuition to attend the “Gray Institute for Functional Transformation”.
Gray Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT) is a 40-week mentorship in Applied Functional Science® bringing together a select group of movement professionals who deliver the highest standard of care in knowledge, analytical ability, and the hands-on manual skills necessary to apply and integrate the core principles of Applied Functional Science®. Each week consists of about 4-5 hours of dedicated time, based on your schedule and study habits. The program is divided into two semesters that each end with a GIFT Gathering event.
IMPORTANT DATES
- Program Begins February 8, 2024
- Gathering 1: May 15-18, 2024
- Gathering 2: November 6-9, 2024
- Program Ends November 9, 2024
Eligibility:
- Must be a Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society employee
- Award recipients must have demonstrated exceptional character, leadership and determination to sharpen their professional development skills.
- Recipients will be expected to use the additional training to enrich the lives of others, especially in patient care, teamwork and community involvement.
Award: One or two Sanford employees may be awarded full tuition to attend the “Gray Institute for Functional Transformation”
Award Distribution: Payment will be sent directly to Gray Institute for Functional Transformation.
